Nest location selection in laying hens

The project manager is Dr. Anja Brinch Riber, who during her PhD project gained extensive knowledge on the development of behaviour in laying hens. To ensure the highest expertise on all parts of the project, a network of very skilled scientists has been formed. The network consists of:

Dr. Birte L. Nielsen (University of Aarhus, DK), who has broad knowledge of the behaviour and welfare of poultry.

Dr. Björn Forkman (University of Copenhagen, DK), who is highly experienced in research on motivation.

Professor Ian J.H. Duncan (University of Guelph, CA) and Dr Jonathan Cooper (University of Lincoln, UK), whose expertise in nesting behaviour of domestic fowl is illustrated by their list of publications in peer-reviewed journals on the topic.
